MISSION
Briarwood PTA will help facilitate and provide strong leadership in the areas of parent communication, classroom support, and student enrichment. Our focus for the 2009-10 school-year will be increasing enrichment opportunities for students, particularly in the field of the arts, both visual and performing.
GOALS
Increase membership.
Facilitate effective communication with the Briarwood community.
Enhance the education of children through enrichment activities.
Continue to increase parent involvement in the PTA.

Support Briarwood Elementary Students. When you join the PTA, you join a community that encourages student achievement and enriches the learning environment. We believe in building a partnership between our families and our school. We believe TOGETHER we can help our children be successful.
Anyone can be a PTA member. There is a general misconception that in order to become a member of the PTA organization you need to be a parent, teacher, student, or school official. Fortunately, this is not the case. Everyone is qualified to join the PTA!
When you join the BRIARWOOD PTA you will support: Family Events, Field Trips, Art Enrichment, Parent/School Partnerships, Programs, Assemblies, and much more. Check out all the great programs the Briarwood PTA provides.
2009-2010 BRIARWOOD PTA MEETING SCHEDULE All parents and staff are welcome to attend all PTA Board and General meetings, which are held from 6:30-8:00 pm in the library (unless otherwise indicated). We discuss more business-related matters at the Board meetings, and only Board members may cast a vote at these meetings. All PTA members are welcome to vote at our General meetings. Hope you will join us soon!
